  We lived in one of the upstairs units the two bedrooms. There's no insulation between the ceiling and the roof. It looks very nice however because it's all made from Cedar and when you're being cooked alive inside during the summer months it smells pretty good in those apartments. The ants that are drawn into the cedar by the smell in the oil that they produce during the summer months rain upon you as you try to enjoy your life. There are huge windows that allow for beautiful views and it looks beautiful when it rains and you can see it out of those huge windows. However since they are single pane windows they collect a lot of mold and you'll spend a lot and heating the apartment. When we were there we were fortunate to have really good managers that really cared about tenants. They cared more about having decent people that would not trash the apartment then having people with more money than common sense. The owners don't really care as long as they get their money. For what you pay to live in Lake Oswego you are better off moving into a newer building that has newer appliances double pane windows and better management. It breaks my heart to say this about the place because with a little bit of care Iron House Apartments could be the premier apartment house in Lake Oswego. Design and the layout is beautiful and one could be proud of living there if the right people owned it.
